Welcome! A few years ago, I discovered an application that artists employ in their works to bring cultural awareness to their audiences. Having discerned this semiotic theory that applies to literature, music, art, film, and the media, I have devoted the blog,Theory of Iconic Realism to explore this theory. Happy Valentine's Day! Linzer Tarts

 Happy Valentine's Day!

For these Linzer Tarts, I use the sugar cookie recipe that I usually make for Christmas cookies, cut into heart shapes, with a small heart in half of the cookies. After they cool, I spread the solid cookies with raspberry preserves, sprinkle powdered sugar on the cookie with the heart hole, and carefully position it on top. Voila! These will be dessert through Mardi Gras, this upcoming Tuesday.
